Volunteer Leadership Position

The Photography Chair helps capture the people, connections, and special moments that make FemCity Nashville such a vibrant community. This role focuses on documenting our events through beautiful, professional photography while helping members feel seen, celebrated, and connected.

Eligibility: The Photography Chair must be a current paid FemCity member and may not be serving under a 30-day free trial membership.

Key Responsibilities

Event Photography

  • Attend FemCity Nashville events and capture high-quality photographs

  • Photograph members, speakers, sponsors, Leadership Circle members, and special guests

  • Capture a mix of candid moments, group photos, event details, and posed photographs

  • Document the energy, connection, and community experienced at FemCity Nashville events

  • Provide a curated selection of event photographs following each event

Member & Community Photography

  • Capture photographs that celebrate FemCity Nashville members and their involvement

  • Take group and Leadership Circle photographs as needed

  • Help ensure sponsors, speakers, and special event elements are photographed

  • Look for meaningful moments that visually tell the story of our community

Member Engagement & Networking

  • Attend events and serve as an enthusiastic advocate for FemCity Nashville

  • Build relationships with members and help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera

  • Encourage participation in group photographs and special photo opportunities

  • Help create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive experience at events

What Is the FemCity Leadership Circle?

The FemCity Nashville Leadership Circle is a group of engaged FemCity members who work alongside the local President to support programming, events, and meaningful member connections.

Time Commitment

  • One-year leadership term

  • Monthly Leadership Circle meeting via Zoom — approximately 1 hour

  • Attendance at FemCity Nashville events

  • Photography coverage and delivery of event images

Serving as Photography Chair provides an opportunity to showcase your talents, build relationships, and increase visibility for your photography business within the FemCity community.

  • Website Feature: Your headshot, bio, and business link featured on the FemCity Nashville website

  • Business Recognition: Photography credit and tags when appropriate, providing additional visibility for your photography business

  • Email Visibility: Your headshot featured at the bottom of FemCity Nashville email communications with a direct link to your business page
